DONATIONS:

The need to support and expand the St. Francis Childrens Care Organization (SFCCO) is overwhelming. It is the only program of its type in Addis Ababa. The local authorities are so enthusiastic about the program's beneficial effect they have committed to provide additional classroom space for more children if SFCCO can get the necessary sponsors.

So, while our first priority is to raise the basic funds for our current children, more contributions are needed to staff and operate additional centers. Only with program growth can we make a real dent in breaking the cycle of generational poverty.

Your generous contribution can be put to use however you choose:

· Sponsorship of a child in the education programs. *
· Basic needs of the mother and child (clothing, medical care);
· Program expansion, enrichment, and growth.

Please consider the great impact your contributions, large or small, can make:

$5		Would allow for health-screening for a mother or child starting in the program
$10		Would pay for a much-needed pair of shoes for a child.
$15		Would cover the cost of transporting the mothers to and from the skills training center for the duration of their program.
$20		Is enough to buy a bookbag or knapsack, or a school uniform.
$20		Would also pay for desperately needed medical care to address the illness brought on by living in sustained poverty.
$30		Would pay for clothing for child who now has little but a single dress or pair of shorts.
$50		Covers the cost of a classroom desk.
		Consider that:
$60		Would allow for awards and prizes that reward the children for good grades and improve their self esteem.
$120		Would pay for a school trip, taking the children away from their oppressive day-to-day environment… or for a feast day celebration.
$150		Will sponsor a mother for a year of schooling or training.
$215		Would pay for a much needed blackboard.
$300		Will sponsor a mother and child for a year. It could also be used to buy playground equipment for the Bole center.
$1500		Would enable purchase of a computer and printer at each of the centers.
